I was born in Wyoming and raised in northern Colorado with my two younger brothers. Being the son of a drummer and a school teacher, it isn't hard to see how I ended up both a drummer and a drum teacher.
I started playing the drums when I was nine years old, and began performing professionally when I was fifteen. By the time I was eighteen, I was teaching private drum lessons to people of all ages. I now teach private drum lessons at the Metro Drum School in Glendale.
Since moving to Denver after graduating high school, I have had the pleasure of working in a variety of musical situations, including orchestras, big bands, and church groups. One of the most enjoyable aspects of my career in music is having the opportunity to perform with several groups playing a number of different styles, including country, rock, and jazz.
Currently, I am drumming with the Eric Dorn Trio and my own jazz group, as well as freelancing with several other artists throughout Colorado. When I'm not performing or teaching, I enjoy spending time with my wife and children.
